Fluvanna County Habitat for Humanity's Fourteenth Annual Golf Tournament was a huge success. Despite the hot and humid weather, golfers from around the county and beyond joined forces to help Habitat eliminate sub-standard housing in Fluvanna County by raising over $11,000.

CACF and Fluvanna Habitat Join Forces to Create Affordable Housing
In an effort to create more affordable housing, Fluvanna County Habitat for Humanity is building the county’s first “Small Rural Cluster” subdivision. A recent grant of $9,000 made earlier this month by the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation (CACF) is providing critical funding to help finance the project. Humanity, When you do, Food Lion will make a donation to Habitat every time you shop. Donations are based on the grocery
purchase total and do not affect regular MVP discounts.
It costs you nothing to sign up, but each time you shop you will be helping Habitat to fulfill their goal of eliminating substandard housing in Fluvanna County.

"Cars For Homes" Program
Do you have an old vehicle in your driveway that you would like to donate to a worthy cause? If so, please consider Habitat for Humanity's "Cars for Homes" Program. This program benefits the community from where the car is donated, with 70 to 80 percent of sales proceeds going directly back to the local affiliate.
